What is Massage?
If you're here, you likely know what massage is... or do you?
Massage is a type of therapy in which touch is the medium or modality for healing.
You go to a talk therapist or a psychotherapist to assist in healing your broken thought patterns or a broken heart. Massage therapy is much the same.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with going to a massage therapist when you just want to feel good, period, point blank. Even if you're already feeling good, it can be the cherry on top of a relaxing day or weekend trip.
What can massage do for me?
I'm not a doctor. I don't have a degree in biology or sports medicine. I can't tell you for certain that massage will do anything for you, aside from make you "feel good." That said, massage is an ancient practice that has been assisting people on their healing journeys for many, many years.
The whole reason I became a Massage Therapist was because it allowed me to become more in tune with my own body: what I was feeling, where, and why. I had a good, grounded massage therapist that made space for my emotions when they came up.
It is my goal to do that for my own clientele now that I am licensed and practicing.
I will try and help you pinpoint the reason you are feeling any sort of pain and tension. I'll use my knowledge and skills to teach you stretches and encourage you to implement facets of self-care into your daily routine to avoid more pain.
Or, simply, you will get on my table and relax for an hour or two. The choice is yours.
